I received a copy of this through NetGalley in exchange for an honest review. The decision to review and my opinions are my own.*. That aside, this is an amazing work and, if you can focus on the story and not the way it is told, is a very rewarding experience. These are more likely to end up on Twilight Zone or Scary Stories. I was at once in Germany in 1944, enduring the teeth rattling cold, all the while fearing that each breath could easily be my last. Poor Little Innocent Lamb is about a child who is deposited upon a relative who resents her presence.

Both were good, but you'd be better off renting the movie and picking up another book off your to-read shelf. A wolf's holiday season is interrupted by a strange curse. A Midnight Clear is a book of six short stories, all themed around the winter holidays. Exultate Jubilate takes an unusual twist featuring a man who resembles the Grinch who encounters a bedraggled young man selling greens. Merit Badges is a charming tale about a poor boy who befriends a rich woman and touches her heart.

This is a lovely book full of great stories for the Christmas season.
